Daniel Long
Dr. Daniel Long, a clinical psychologist and board certified neurofeedback therapist, came to WVU in 2003 to complete his predoctoral internship and was subsequently hired the following year as a staff psychologist. In 2009, Dr. Long founded the West Virginia University MindFit Clinic, establishing WVU as one of the very first universities in the nation to offer a comprehensive program that employs both cognitive training and neurofeedback for students with ADHD and other cognitive concerns. In addition, Dr. Long previously held a secondary appointment with WVU Athletics and has had the opportunity to work with a variety of professional and collegiate athletes, including Olympic medalists and NCAA champions. Finally, Dr. Long is active in conducting research in the area of ADHD assessment and non-pharmacological treatment, and he currently serves as a consultant on a study examining multisensory deficits in Autism Spectrum Disorder. His role as consultant is to facilitate the identification of those participants who also exhibit symptoms of ADHD. Dr. Long joined the Office of Student Accommodations as Director in 2019.
