Jason is a Pennsylvania native who graduated from Penn State University, where he majored in English and minored in Women’s Studies. He also earned graduate degrees in Creative Writing from Ohio University and WVU and holds a Graduate Certificate in Leadership Studies from WVU. In addition to working as the Assistant Director of Captioning and Interpreting, Jason has been a qualified TypeWell Transcriber since 2014, proficient in Math Mode, Turbo Mode, and post-secondary transcribing. He is the author of two books, North to Lakeville and Hungry Town. Previously, he worked as a college English instructor for 9 years, and as a lecturer in Leadership Studies. He is the Past-President of the Association of Transcribers and Speech-to-text Providers.
