Susan Stevenson
Susan has been certified as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) since October 1997 and as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) since November 2002. She earned her a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from West Virginia University with a minor in Communication Studies, and her Master of Arts Degree in Counseling from West Virginia University. She is an Approved Licensed Professional Supervisor (ALPS) and is an ad hoc member of the WVU Care Team.
Previously, Susan worked as a Rehabilitation Counselor with the West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation Services. She was a member of the Adult Basic Education (ABE) Advisory Council, the Consumer Advisory Committee (CAC), and the Council of Social Agencies. Susan has also worked in the non-profit sector and in the mental health field. She has experience as a Chemical Dependency Therapist, and she worked in a traditional 28-day residential treatment program, as well as in an extended care program for women with dual diagnoses.
